Axton & Co. will be performing a fundraiser for the non-profit Tahoe Truckee School of Music!
Matt Axton, along with his mother Donna Axton’s piano accompaniment and Ed Platt’s talents on the bass and guitar, will offer a wonderful mix of music Friday February 23 on the Charlie Chaplain stage at Art Truckee February 23 from 7 to 9pm.
Many know Matt's mother, Donna Axton, from her phenomenal classical abilities with Sierra Nevada College, a soloist with Toccata and as the year-round accompaniments to Tahoan events.
On his paternal side, the Tahoe City resident’s roots belong to his father, the legendary singer-songwriter Hoyt Axton and his grandmother Mae Boren Axton. Their musical wordsmithing skills gave the world classics such as “Joy to the World” and “Heartbreak Hotel.”
$25 in advance, $30 day of the show. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Tahoe Truckee School of Music at (530) 587-3274 or info@tahoemusic.net
